INFORMATION FOR PARTICIPANTS / VISITORS

Accommodation:

All conference participants and others who attend will need to make their own travel and lodging arrangements. The sooner you can book, the better. One of the most convenient accommodation websites is www.booking.com: search for hotels in Dublin for the following choices:

– Most popular hotels
– Budget hotels
– Best-reviewed hotels
– Luxury hotels

You will also find information on guesthouses, which tend to be a bit cheaper.

Other links for Hotels in Dublin include:

http://www.visitdublin.com/Accommodation
http://dublin.city-centre-hotels.com/

Limited accommodation may also be available on the Trinity College Campus and may be booked at: http://www.tcd.ie/accommodation/Visitors/. This site also provides links to other accommodation.

Some representative rates:

The Castle Hotel, Gardiner Row (between TCD and MDI): from €89 per room per night.

Travelodge, St Stephen’s Green (2 minutes from TCD): from €95 per room per night.

Travelodge, Rathmines (25 minutes from TCD on foot; 10 by bus): from €72 per night.

Make sure that you choose a hotel within easy walking distance of Trinity College Dublin or the city centre.

Arriving at Dublin Airport

There are three kinds of bus from the Airport to the centre of Dublin:

  1. The Airport Express Dublin Bus Route 747(€6 single)
    2. The Dublin City Bus Routes 16 (to College Green) and 41 (to Abbey Street) (€3.05 single: the cheapest but slowest routes)
    3. Aircoach to City Centre (This service, sometimes referred to locally as the “blue bus,” stops directly outside Trinity College. €7 single, €12 return)

If participants have any queries about accommodation in Dublin or any other practical issues to do with their stay, don’t hesitate to contact the organisers at collaboratingmuse@gmail.com.
